With strong advocacy campaigns and presence of LGBT activists across Africa on Human rights , Social Justice , equality and the rule of law ; will play a big role in creating awareness on LGBT and minority rights within and outside the community .

This, will help those still operating in closets for fear and trepidation to come out and team up in the campaigns. Concerted efforts have to be directed to these issues by LGBT Activists to give the community voice not only in Africa but the world over.

Mr. Dennis Hambridge , an official of UK Gay activists Alliance International (GAA) ,who is in Africa on a fact finding mission, speaking in Nairobi Kenya , underscored the importance for LGBT and Minorities to work in alliances and partnership to able hype up campaigns that will galvanize into strong mass movements to push their agenda for change into their respective countries.

He however, expressed optimism that LGBT Campaigns in Africa will be a success despite homo Homophobic and oppressive laws in majorities of African countries , which is a severe blow on the campaigns at the moment .

He spoke this in a meeting with members of Kenya's Gay and Lesbian Coalition Network (GALCK) , which brings together LGBT groups in the Country. The coalition's director said building capacity , partnership, giving opportunity for Gays and Lesbians to come out, economic empowerment programs with LGBT in Africa will go along way in empowering and spurring up campaigns.
