The Gay Activists Alliance International hereafter for short, named the "GAAI"
the GAAI campaign and lobby to highlight inequality and human rights abuses towards Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and other Gender Variant people (LGBTI)
the GAAI are a non government funded (NGO) equality and human rights lobby and campaign group that relies on donations to sustain our global work
the GAAI strive to work for fair and just societies globally
the GAAI affiliate and lobby with other campaign groups to achieve our goals
the GAAI are members and affiliates of the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex Association (ILGA) and supports their aims
the GAAI supports the aims of-- the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commision (ILGHRC) TransMentors International Transgender Europe (TGEU) BiNet USA Organisation Intersex International (OII) Gender ID Coalition Stop Trans Pathologization Campaign (STP2012) International day against homophobia and transphobia (IDAHO) International remembrance day for Trans people
You do not have to be an LGBTI person to be a member or affiliated to the GAAI, but to believe that LGBTI persons are entitled to the equality and human rights as all others
Mission Statement and Aims:
*through our websites and discussion forums aim to bring LGBTI persons closer together and give a base to openly discuss issues regarding their gender, sexuality, oppression, discrmination and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and other gender variant peoples homophobia and transphobia * wherever possible, to supply, or assit in the supplying, educational resources and access to the worldwide-web to our affiliates * provide links to other LGBTI campaign, resource or essential service groups * to work towards uniting the international community towards equality and human rights for all sexualities, regardless of gender * promote equality for women's rights through out the world, regardless of sexualality * to further support the aims of the Gender ID Coalition and the end to Trans and Intersex Pathologization (STP2012), a coalition of scientists, professionals, celebrities, activists, and people who demand that the American Psychiatric Association remove Gender Identity as a Mental Disorder; Gender ID Rights; and an end to Anti-Trans violence; Empowering Trans* & Intersex people * promote the end of Global poverty
*Our vision is to see that all human beings will be accepted as equals --regardless of race, colour, religion or atheist, gender, sexualality and disability or other self beliefs that don't infringe on the rights of others
* the GAAI website as been constructed for user friendliness and for persons with some forms of disabilities to be able access and use our services, we welcome any suggestions that may improve the website more
